Niseko, Japan is located on the northern part of the island of Japan, which is referred to as Hokkaido. The term, “Niseko” is used by the Japanese to distinguish the region’s mountain range from the other mountain ranges in Japan. One of the most well known mountains in this region would be Mount Yotei, which has been called the, “Mount Fuji of Hokkaido”. Niseko, Japan has also been known as the second best place to go skiing in the entire world. The first best place to go skiing in the world went to Mt. Baker Ski Area, which is located in Washington State.
